The bicycle in its present form is the most efficient and sustainable of all human means of transport. In 1921 the founder of WINORA, Engelbert Wiener, built the first bicycles for his daughters Thea and Martha by hand. It was a small sensation, because at that time there were no mass-produced bicycles for children and teenagers. Engelbert Wiener, however, wanted his daughters to be able to move around on two wheels just like him and his brother, who had been German track team sprint champions. He wanted to make this unique experience and the feeling of independence available to others. This little story is at the heart of our new brand strategy. Family history becomes brand reality.
