XLC: V-Brake Brake Shoe BS-V06
The CNC-milled elements of this ultra-lightweight cartridge brake shoe allow for an attractive weight and also set visual accents. The brake rubber is made of a 'compound' mix, a mixture of soft natural rubber and hard, abrasion-resistant and heat-resistant synthetic rubber, thus achieving optimum braking performance and excellent all-weather properties.

| Additional information | Cartridge brake shoes are called two-piece brake shoes, where its possible to change the brake pads after abrasion. The advantage over usual brake pads is that only the brake pads has to be changed as wear parts, and the brake shoes do not have to be readjusted. Only the brake cable tension might have to be reduced if the old pad was already thin because of the wear. CNC miling CNC is an accurate, computer-controlled milling process (Computerized Numerical Control) and allows the manefacturing of complex and elaborate workpieces from a block.
