Favourable bike baskets online in bike basket shop

No one likes to get a basket, unless for the bike or for shopping. Bicycle baskets are a useful alternative to bicycle bags or bicycle panniers, because in them, too, purchases and even animals can be transported safely. Luggage stowed in a bicycle basket is always a better solution than hanging two heavy shopping bags on the left and right of the handlebars and making your way home in a snake's pace. With a basket, the bike is a super means of transport

A Dutch bike looks almost naked without a bicycle basket at the back or front. Our Dutch neighbors have been showing us for years. Compared to bicycle bags, bicycle baskets offer the advantage that you can quickly put things in them and take them out again. A handlebar basket is ideal for transporting light objects. Handlebar baskets are so practical because you always have your luggage in view. Depending on the shape of the handlebar, the basket is attached to the handlebar either directly or via a special adapter. Since additional weight on the front of the bike is unfamiliar and can negatively affect the handling, a handlebar bike basket is ideal for small purchases, for the way to the bakery or for transporting smaller items. If the handlebar-mounted bike basket obscures the front lights, there are battery-powered lights that can be attached to the basket. Rear bike baskets are attached to the luggage rack. They are suitable for carrying heavier loads.

For every taste and use the right material

The most common material for bicycle baskets - whether attached to the front of the handlebars or the rear of the luggage rack - is metal. Metal baskets are usually coated to protect them from wind and weather. This is what makes metal bicycle baskets so sturdy and functional. Tightly meshed bicycle baskets prevent small items from falling out. But if you only want to transport larger pieces of luggage anyway, a coarse-meshed bicycle basket is also sufficient, which is usually cheaper than a fine-meshed bicycle basket. If you also want to use your bike basket as a shopping basket, you should make sure that the handle of the bike basket is ergonomically shaped or padded. Otherwise, the handle will cut uncomfortably into the hand when carrying heavy loads. For those who find a metal bicycle basket too mundane, retailers also offer bicycle baskets made of wicker, rattan, plastic mesh, tear-resistant polyester fabric and leather. Willow baskets may not be as functional as their metal counterparts, but they look the part. Animals in particular feel more comfortable in wicker bike baskets, as the material doesn't cut into their paws as much. Bicycle baskets made of willow are available in open and closed design, but you should not leave them in the rain for a long time, as the material could then be damaged.

Who likes it even more noble, which puts on a bicycle basket made of leather or polyester fabric. Admittedly, such bicycle baskets come of course considerably more expensive, but they are real eye-catchers and an optimal addition to a retro or Holland bike.
