Merida

Merida was founded in 1972 by Ike Tseng with the aim to give the label "Made in Taiwan" a better reputation. The three syllables of our name mean something like: "The intention to produce only beautiful and high quality products with which everyone can reach his goal as pleasantly as possible. As a result, Tseng gave a new face to bicycle production. Today, Taiwan is considered the country with the best production know-how in the bicycle industry.

A Merida is created internationally: In the innovation area of Stuttgart our R&D team develops our complete model range. Here we test on test benches, on the after-work lap, on tour and at the weekend race. In Yuanlin, Taiwan, we combine the excellent development work of the German team with high-tech materials, innovative production technologies and precise and careful manual work.
