The Cinturato Velo is Pirelli's new tubeless clincher tyre designed for protection and comfort without compromising on performance.

KEY FEATURES:

The reliability of SmartNET Silica technology combined with the tubeless-ready comfort and resistance of new Armour Tech technology brings out a new generation of folding tyre. This features a unique DNA with the perfect performance for long distances and different terrains.

Armour Tech construction (patent pending) combines various components, in order from inside to outside, that complement the 60 TPI nylon casing underneath:

• High-density nylon layer from bead to bead that protects against cuts and improves stability. At low pressure and help make the carcass airtight when used with liquid sealant.
• High-density corrugated belt of aramid fibres under the tread, providing protection against punctures and sharp foreign objects.
• Aramid fibres in the tread rubber compound (SmartNET Silica) are distributed in two layers:
  • an outer one (cap) which guarantees performances (dry and wet, mileage, contact feel),
  • an inner one (base) which, thanks to a higher number of these fibres, slows down the penetration of foreign bodies into the underlying layers
