With a tensile strength of 930 N/mm², titanium is much more resilient than aluminium or steel. A common 8.8 steel screw has a tensile strength of 800 N/mm². The density of titanium is 4.43 kg/dm³ , for comparison: steel has 7.85 kg/dm³. This makes titanium much lighter, but many times stronger than steel.
