About WINORA: Let's move
Change requires courage and passion. As a brand rich in tradition, we have both in abundance and do well to review and adjust our own attitude again and again in order to remain fit for the future in the long term. In doing so, it is not enough to look at our own products in love and to be happy about awards and successes, but also to understand what is currently driving and motivating people. To do this, we have taken a look back to the future and realised: It is time to change something.
Mobility for all
To make our cities greener and more liveable, we need mobility that is autonomous, safe and clean. The bicycle in its current form is the most efficient and sustainable of all human means of transport. The founder of WINORA, Engelbert Wiener, built the first bicycles by hand for his daughters Thea and Martha in 1921. This was a minor sensation, as there were no mass-produced bicycles for children and young people at the time. Engelbert Wiener, however, wanted his daughters to be able to get around on two wheels like he and his brother, with whom he had become German champion in four-man team cycling. He wanted to make this unique experience and the feeling of independence possible for others as well. In this little anecdote lies the core of our new brand strategy. The family story becomes lived brand reality.
