You don't always want to take your bike to the bike repair shop for every little breakdown and flat tire? You want to maintain, service and repair your bike yourself? Then you need a suitable tool set or have to assemble appropriate tools yourself. To be able to perform maintenance and repair work on your bike, you also need enough space. Whether investing in special tools makes sense for you depends on your skills as a "screwdriver" and the budget you are inclined to spend. Some special tools, such as tools for loosening the sprocket set, go so really in the money and are more suitable for a specialist workshop.
